Last night we went to “Carols by Candlelight,” an Adelaide Christmas tradition, held right next to the river in Elder Park. Being of a certain age and from the northeastern part of the U.S., I was expecting a group of families and older people picking up white wax candles with paper holders and singing about an hour’s worth of well-known Christmas carols in the darkening night. But no. “Carols by Candlelight” was a Christmas spectacular with three jumbo screens, a magnificent sound system, guest performers, an accompanying light show and fireworks.

It’s more like a rock concert! My question: whose feet are those?
