Our time in South Africa gave us a natural world that astounded us; the Table Mountains, the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans, the Cape of Good Hope, False Bay, wine country, apple orchards, mountain valleys, natural springs, wetlands, fynbos and incredible botany and wildlife.
We have hiked on Muizenberg Peak to see breathtaking vistas and lived in the coolest little house on Trappieskop Mountain. We have seen whales frolicking off the coast. We have seen palm trees glistening after a rain and wild birds flying in the morning sun.
We have seen people struggling for a better life and a picture of history that stuns in its hopefulness. We have heard eye-witness accounts of apartheid and its end and what it means to a South Africaner.
We have had high tea and had snoek on the docks. We have consumed myriad choccocinos and Malaysian curries. And eaten the best breakfasts ever.
We have loved the sheer beauty of South Africa. Now on to Adelaide, South Australia and the land down under.
It will take us time to travel and time to set up an internet connection, but then we will be back with new tales of a new land.
Thank you dear readers for staying with us on our adventure.
