Mount Lofty is the highest point in South Australia. The height above sea level is about 700-800 meters. For a Santa Fean this is a little bitty hill but in Adelaide it is a lofty mountain. The view from the top is expansive, out and over the city to the ocean.
When we went to Mount Lofty we found a hidden delight–the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden. And within the garden we found and hiked through the Rhododendron Gully. Glorious.
