This is our Cuenca mystery…We came upon this man in the street market with a lime, a skeleton and an anatomically correct plastic model of human internal organs. He took the lime and moved it gradually down the dummy, from the mouth through the esophagus then down again through the intestinal tract while vigorously explaining some unknown thing to the intense listeners. All of it was in Spanish which only heightened the mystery for us. As we walked on he was pointing at the skeleton and a display board still talking. Was he selling limes, a hard sell for citrus? We’ll never know.
