Today is our first day in Lecce. We woke to a blue sky through our balcony doors.
We live on a small “piazzetta,” small square, in Centro Storico, the city center and oldest neighborhood in Lecce.
Beginning with a 7 am wander through the narrow alleys of our neighborhood, we emerged in the local piazza to find a bar for morning coffee and pasticceria, for a pasticcioto (little Italian cake filled with custard creme) a standby for breakfast in Salento.
After a few hours of wandering we returned home to our Appartamento San Matteo.
