We went for a ramble along a country road here. It is spring in Malta now. The wildflowers are in bloom. The tiny ones are hiding in the long grasses, pink, orchid, peach, violet blue, yellow, orange, red, singular and tiny peeking out of the undergrowth. We started on the road and veered off into farmers’ fields searching for the path, bushwacking through reseeded barley and finally making a big loop back to our starting point. No matter to us. The walk itself was the point of the day. We imagined a couple of old Malteze farmers sitting outside the farmhouse watching us as we wandered along. Imagining them shaking their heads at the two tourists lost in their ancient fallow fields. We probably seemed daft to them. Well, maybe,we are, a little bit, but what a day.

This is especially wonderful, Jill.
Thank you Dede.
Nothing daft about that. Great ramble. Ramble on…..
We shall as long as ever we can.
Jill, I am so happy that you and Dana can focus “down” to what really counts!
…and the years just go by, yes my friend.
