We are holding a random drawing selected from the blog followers who will post comments in the next week. Every new comment is a chance to win this fabulous and stylish apron featuring a map of Sicily.
The contest will run from today, June 16th to next Saturday, June 23rd at 8 a.m. Siracusa time (the middle of the night in the U.S.A.) Then the random drawing will be held and announced here.
Each time you make a new comment this week, one chance is added to the drawing. So the more you comment, the greater your chance of winning.
Make sure you have as many entries as possible. Two things can enhance your chances of winning. Follow the blog by email (link in the sidebar on the right of your screen) and comment on any new or past post.
Good luck in your pursuit of the fantastic apron!
This is not ruthless ballot stuffing it is just _____________, you see.
Dana: think you’ll understand, I began with an ejection fraction of 25% and now, with treatments and stuff it’s up to 33% and rising. I like that a lot.
Best
Neil
For some strange reason I have not been getting the emails about your travels for a month or so. I signed up again and hope this will fix it. It must be getting close to the
time to leave Sicily?
Excuse for ballot stuffing
Did you get my recommendations, two different comments, for two books, 1343 and ….something else?
Yes Neil. We did. Should be included with comments under the post you responded to.
Ahhhhhhhh, brillflash! This must mean that, wherever you go, there will be an appropriate contest for a local icon. I can’t wait for the pix of Dana….no, Jill’s turn…….wearing a solid gold bracelet from South Africa! Heeeeeeee
I’m ingesting monatomic gold already so I should be right up there in comment line.
(See Sir Laurence Gardner’s Lost Secrets Of The Sacred Ark for detailed info on monatomic gold )

La Montanita Coop is now carrying organic pasta which the labels claim is made at the Monastero del Montebello,(established 1337) Isola del Piano Italy and it’s turned out to be as good as De Cecco. You think that could all be a made up marketing hype?
n
I say whatever the hype, if it tastes good it is good. There are a slew of pasta companies here. We like Mt. Etna pasta…it blows your socks off. Not really but it is tasty. We have also discovered all sorts of new shapes. Amazing how it really does make a difference in how the sauce tastes.
You are hereby instructed to ignore any comment posted specifically to take that apron that does not have this invisible code word embedded in it: _____________
ehehehe

Hey, I notice that there is a line that says “Your comment is awaiting moderation” underneath the post I just entered. Wut dat mean? I don’t think my comment was immoderate…………just enthusiastic?
Neil
We are using a data service called DS&C for Dana Simmons and Jill Charboneau. It is a complex system using a plastic bowl and cut up post-it notes. Making tomato sauce is perfect for this apron. Go for it.
None of the comments from our family and friends are immoderate. My gosh no. It is so I can be sure to see every post and reply. Otherwise I might miss one. You are very enthusiastic and we love it.
oohhhh, I’ll have that apron………perfect for making Neil’s industrial strength tomato with red wine sauce……..which I will make for your celebratory coming home welcome, Yes. Just don’t use ES&S to count the submissions ehehe

I want that apron! Does this count as an entry?! I should do the same kind of contest w our blog too. No one comments anymore! Hope you’re both well. Loving reading your posts…
Yes, Emily, this does count as a comment. We got the idea for a contest from another blog. We are really hoping more people get in the habit of commenting because it is so much fun for us to know people are reading and enjoying the posts. Your Mom asked if there was a St.Henry along with St. Sebastian…there is. Not sure there is a St.Emily though but I think she is related to Pocohontas. I will look.
In the true competitive spirit of the Simmons family, let me be the first to leave a comment. I want the apron, not so much for myself, but for my DH, who creatively and tirelessly (and might I add apparently joyfully) does most of the cooking. I didn’t get that gene! I did get the travel gene, however, so I could dream of a trip to Sicily, Italy (or wherever) while he makes the pasta. What a team!
And, we’re enjoying your teamwork as well: one who writes and one who does photography and both enjoying the process.
Maryl, You are the first to post in our new contest. If Rich gets the Sicily apron he will have to make you an Italian dinner while wearing it. When Dana told me about your posting I said that this must be a Simmons gene. We are having such a great time doing this blog. We see all the sights and have the experiences for all of our friends and family.
