The Prize

Here is the announcement for the winner of the beautiful South Africa Gold Mandela Apron you have all awaited with bated breath.

THE WINNER IS NEIL FREER

(A wild hurrah and eheheh for Neil)

Neil is a frequent  “Commenter” on our blog and a home chef in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He wanted the Sicilia apron to make his Neapolitan Tomato Sauce but now has won the South Africa apron to make Bobotie.

Congratulations Neil!

and thanks for following us on our journey.

The competition was tough with comments coming in from Washington D.C., New Mexico, Michigan, Massachusetts, South Africa and California. The chances of winning were 37 to 1…much better than Bingo. Thanks to all for participating.

Oh, oh, do I have to grow a beard like Dana’s to look good in the apron?

No beard necessary. The apron shows off the chef’s natural beauty, whatever that may be.

    Don’t encourage him!

    congratulations Neil, when’s dinner?

Dinner is a welcoming dinner when those two vagabondies get back here. You up for that? Maybe by that time Der Obiemeister will eat a few authentic veggies? ehe

We would love that. Thank you Neil (and Ursula.) J & D
