We see flowers everywhere we walk here. They are in yards, medians, private gardens, public gardens, city parks and along country roads. We wanted to share them with you so that you could experience some of the random beauty we have found in Adelaide.
If this photo essay is of interest to you, please let us know. We will include more of this type of still photo post in the future. Enjoy.
Wow … need I say more?
Wow. Some of them look other-worldly. Well, I guess they are. Certainly not from the world of upstate NY. The blue ones with the yellow in the background is quite stunning. Also the purple and orange rib-like forms.
Dana has really gotten the hang of that new camera! A++

Thank you Dede.:-)
you keep it up and you won’t want to come back to dry brown NM!
No way. We miss home. There really is no place else quite like it.
Thanks for the bright flowers on a grey Kalamazoo day. Jeannette
Hi Jeannette: We have certainly enjoyed your shared images and thoughts online. So glad you enjoyed them here.
The soil and weather could not be better for all this bounty! Also I just came across a list of 10 of the most beautifully planned cities in the world (seen from space) and Adelaide was one of them (scroll down a bit) http://tinyurl.com/cef6fuy
It was so much fun going through the images to find the flowers. It was like a mini-recap of our time here so far.
Thanks so much for this list Ursula. Other places to visit?
Now that winter is beginning to settle in, I love looking at all of the colorful flowers. Such variety. Not an impatien in the bunch. Love Dana’s photography which captures the flowers so beautifully,
