DSC05657As we walk the streets of Valparaiso, we see more art. Art on the walls, the roofs, the stairways and the funiculars. Here are some of our latest discoveries.

How interesting it must be to walk these streets. Are the paintings kept up or are some of them peeling and fading? I wonder it the artists are paid for them, the paint alone must cost a lot.

For the most part the murals are all volunteer. Homeowners prefer to have the painted murals as it discourages graffiti. The older murals are peeling and fading. It would be wonderful if they restarted the project of the Open Air Museum and added new artists to the streets-cape. J
