The Cathedral At Night

19 Sep

Sevilla breathes at night. Especially this summer with daytime temperatures up to 115, Sevillanos save strolling until after 9 pm. The Sevilla Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, provides the backdrop for a stroll in the Jewish Quarter at night.

    Beautiful photos of the cathedral.
Do the temps during the day (115 degrees!) moderate at night?! Do you have a/c in your apartment? Is your apartment near the Plaza?

The 115 temp was in July. Now it is low to mid 90s during the hottest hours of the day. Yes, we have air conditioning. I had assurances of that before renting. And our location is excellent, in Triana just across the Puente de San Selmo to the center of the city, about a 5 minute walk. We go out 10 to 1 or 2, back home, then out in the evening when it cools. Everyone is out strolling, chatting, walking the dog, jogging and playing tennis at 8 or 9 pm.
