Our Little Bungalow

I’ll build a bungalow,

Big enough for two,

Big enough for two, my honey,

Big enough for two.

Walla, Walla, Walla.

And when we’re married,

Happy we’ll be,

Under the bamboo,

Underneath the bamboo tree.

This is the bungalow where we live in Santa Barbara. At 625 square feet, it is a very little bungalow. Our dogs, Trolley and Fantan bounce off the walls like pin balls. We have an orange and lemon tree across the way. Our neighbor shares with us…how very nice.

Your bungalow is very cute. Sorry we forgot to give you oranges when you visited us in Simi Valley, CA Lori

I am in shock to learn you are no longer in Eldorado. I will miss you terribly especially when the gardening starts again! I am glad that you love your new home and that you are keeping in touch with your friends here.

Ursula, Ursula no no we didn’t move. We are just in Santa Barbara, our fifth Mediterranean region for three months, January, February and March. We will be back home to Eldorado in April and again in the garden. No worries.

      Tears of joy!

How very sweet! I love those little craftsman bungalows.
We have put our house up for sale in Eldorado and looking for a townhouse in Santa Fe.
    All is well here.

Yes, these craftsman bungalows are great. Most were built in Santa Barbara in the late 20s and early 30s, after the big earthquake in 1925. Good luck with the sale of your house and the search for a new home in Santa Fe.

Cute! The bungalow is about the size of Aaron/Jolene’s first studio apartment in Manhattan. Of course, they didn’t have 2 dogs but they did have a cat. Are your neighbors permanent residents or transients like you two? We are buried under lots of snow and since temps are hovering around 0 degrees we don’t go out much. We’re really looking forward to our winter escape to Florida the end of the month! Look forward to more of your postings.

We read about your weather and shiver. I am sure Florida is looking very, very good right now. Weather here is 62 to 72 degrees most days. It is really a treat to be warm next to the sea.
